ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: KENT REEDER and DREW SONNENBERG

Kent Reeder has served as the planting pastor of Illumine Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina since 2013. He has written, performed, and arranged music for public worship, private gatherings, youth camps, and the stage. Drew Sonnenberg has served as the Worship Coordinator at Illumine Church since 2015. In addition to working with and encouraging the musicians and vocalist, and arranging and writing music for worship, Drew designs Illumine Evenings Worship services and their annual songwriting weekends. Kent and Drew work to create a culture of creativity in the congregation. This culture empowers artists and includes regularly changing sermon-series art (both digital and physical), an annual songwriting weekend, creative liturgies, and a large team of rotating musicians. They will addressing that creativity at this year’s Hearts and Hands workshop, “Permission to Try.”
